I AM FLORINE, THE CREATIVE WOMAN BEHIND BABY-CHELLA

It all started at the age of 15 when I ventured into the world of design by enrolling in a high school focused on applied arts and began studying the four main domains of design: spatial design, visual communication, product design, and fashion design. Drawn to spatial design, I pursued a 2-year diploma in this field, which taught me the fundamentals of architecture, scenography, and interior design over 2 years. My creative self, hands-on approach, meticulous nature, and attention to detail found a perfect match in these studies; I cherished those 5 years of creative learning.

My thirst for knowledge pushed me to continue my education with 5 more years at an architecture school to broaden my horizons and deepen my expertise. These years of studies enriched my understanding, but I soon realised that architecture was not my true calling.

After earning my master's degree, I decided to take some time to learn about myself, explore, learn English, and travel. It was a necessary step for me, to discover more after spending 10 intense years immersed in the fields of design and architecture.

This decision led me to Australia for what was meant to be a 6-month break. However, I embraced the journey, and seven years later, here I am, still in this vibrant country, having discovered so much about myself, and now leading this beautiful and fulfilling business.

My early days in Australia were spent working in hospitality and as a nanny, all while learning English. After a year, I transitioned back into design and interior architecture for a few years.

Since 2020, alongside my professional work, I had the opportunity to participate in exciting projects and started organising events voluntarily in my free time for my own pleasure and to bring joy to those around me. As I began learning more about the event industry, I found myself loving it. So, gradually, I shifted from design to events, working as an event assistant or event stylist.

Additionally, since 2021, as friends around me started having children, I naturally offered to help organise their baby showers. One, two, three, four showers... I quickly became the go-to person for these celebrations, delivering increasingly elaborate and larger baby showers, and consistently receiving praise and compliments for my work.

One day, it clicked—becoming a Baby Shower Planner and Stylist. It felt like the perfect fit.

I've always had an entrepreneurial mindset and this business is a culmination of everything I love and have learned: creating, crafting and building with my own hands, transforming spaces, organising and planning events, bringing joy to others.

And what could be more beautiful than focusing all of this on celebrating pregnancy? For me, there is nothing more beautiful and magical than the arrival of a baby. A baby shower is the ultimate event, celebrating the creation of life, the result of love between two people, as well as womanhood and motherhood. As a woman myself, this holds a special place in my heart.

Organising baby showers, yes, but doing it my way, differently from others. I wanted a unique and personalised approach, innovating beyond what's already out there. Everywhere you look, it's the same thing... In an event world filled with acrylic photo booths and balloon arches, I aimed to offer something warmer, more authentic, less reliant on plastic, and above all, focusing on creating an experience.

I aim to provide more than just a baby shower, I want to create a memorable and enriching experience centered around the mother and her pregnancy, emphasising well-being and supporting her through this beautiful stage of her life.

People describe me as someone who is very conscientious, meticulous in details, hardworking, energetic, enthusiastic, always smiling, and positive.

My creative side has flourished from a young age through drawing, painting, and photography. My background in architecture and design has given me a strong spatial awareness and visual communication skills, allowing me to easily create, and quickly visualize and project ideas into any space.
I developed a love for manual labor and the skills to create and build with my hands while growing up, thanks to my multiskilled father who taught me a lot. This early experience fostered a passion for crafting, which I now apply to creating custom props for events. Additionally, my proficiency with design software enables me to design invitation cards and create laser-cut files for custom signage and props, expanding the range of services I offer.
Since I was a child, I've always enjoyed planning and organizing events (planning games, setting up lovely buffets, ensuring everyone has a great day) from my own birthday parties to surprise parties for friends. Driven by my desire to bring happiness and smiles to others, I gradually extended this passion to helping friends with wedding preparations, baby showers, and hen parties, before deciding to establish my own business as a baby shower stylist and planner. Seeing people have a fantastic time because of my efforts is the ultimate reward.
